Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support the Produce Manager in running a busy department focused on healthy customer choices and fresh products. You will help lead a team, ensure quality, and drive merchandising and sales in a fast-paced store environment.

You will train and develop the Produce team, hire when needed, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while maintaining a positive, customer-focused atmosphere for shoppers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Follow safety and health regulations including getting a Food Handlers permit.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, pricing, signage and display.
• Lead a team to ensure high-quality product and exceptional customer service.
