Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Operations Specialist to support subcontracting and intercompany purchasing and payment coordination for a growing deployment business.

You will manage agreements, staffing changes, and PO funding, while researching and resolving supplier issues in collaboration with AP and Accounting. The role blends hands-on operations with AI workflow testing to improve speed, accuracy, and service.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, procure-to-pay, or finance operations.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve with suppliers and AP.
• Familiarity with automation and AI workflows.
• Strong communication with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontracting and purchasing from intake through completion, including agreements and PO changes.
• Translate staffing and engagement changes into updates to agreements, PO funding and billing.
• Lead research and supplier issue remediation across contracts, POs, invoices and payments.
• Serve as primary contact for intercompany invoice and payment status and coordinate with AP and Finance.
• Own subcontracting workflow requirements for the deployment operations platform and test AI-supported processes.
• Partner with Procurement Enablement and Finance Systems to measure cycle time and improvements.
