Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Procurement Operations Business Partner to own the end-to-end purchasing path for software and cloud services. You will ensure correct coding, dates, accruals, and PO processing, partnering with Security, Legal, and Accounting to keep spend accurate and compliant.

In a high-volume, finance-centric role, you will guide internal teams from request to signed agreement, manage renewals, and track licenses. You’ll help shape the AI-native procurement function as we scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing process for high volume requests across the organization, ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Serve as the primary procurement partner for teams, guiding requests from initial stage to signed agreement and issued purchase order.
• Review each purchase for correct vendor, contracting entity, complete documents, spend categorization and service dates, and necessary approvals.
• Determine additional requirements such as order forms, data privacy reviews, or third-party risk assessments, routing to reviewers on the first pass.
• Partner with Security to conduct vendor security reviews on new tools and renewals, ensuring compliance before go-live.
• Coordinate contract review with Legal, maintain movement, and verify executed agreements support the purchase order.
• Structure purchase orders to match vendor billing and accounting needs with correct GL account, cost center, and service period; manage renewals and seat changes.
• Track license counts and renewal dates, flag overlapping tools, and inform budget owners ahead of renewals.
