Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support procurement at a customer site. You will purchase products and materials meeting price, quality, timing, and supply reliability standards.

Role emphasizes vendor coordination, order tracking, and effective communication with suppliers and customers. A strong eye for detail and independence in execution are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and execution skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand in line with purchasing strategies.
• Assess existing orders to determine action for expediting or de-expediting for delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and recommend vendors/items to meet specifications, price, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns or replacements.
• Follow up on purchase orders with vendors and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Resolve account payables nonconformance with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings and document them.
• Follow all SOPs and maintain a professional, clean worksite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
