Job summary

New York City Employees’ Retirement System is seeking a Procurement Analyst in the Procurement unit of the Legal Division. Under general supervision, you will perform work of moderate difficulty in purchasing goods, services and construction, and in processing procurement documents and contracts.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with related experience (or equivalent), and a strong knowledge of procurement policies, urban governance, and coordination with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 months of professional procurement experience or equivalent.
  • Associate degree with 18 months of procurement experience.
  • Four-year high school diploma with 2.5 years of procurement experience.
  • Combination of education and/or experience as described above. College credits may substitute for experience at specified rates.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods, services and/or construction.
  • Process procurement documents and contracts.
  • Work under general supervision with latitude for initiative and decision making.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the City’s procurement policies and rules; knowledge of grant procurement requirements.
