Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and six months of full‑time procurement experience in goods/services or contract management
• Alternative paths include 60 credits with 18 months of procurement experience
• High school diploma with two and a half years of relevant procurement experience
• Combination of education and experience as described, with at least 6 months in procurement

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct complex procurements using methods like bids and proposals.
• Conduct market research to determine procurement requirements and specs.
• Lead vendor outreach and pre‑bid meetings to clarify offerings.
• Lead proposal evaluation committees and select contract awardees.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
• Draft contracts and supporting documents for oversight and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/city guidelines in proposals.
• Develop admin procedures for bids, contracts, and vendor performance.
• Monitor vendor performance and contract modifications as needed.
• Prepare and present summaries on solicitations, procurement policies, and initiatives.
