Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in New Albany, OH is seeking a procurement professional to administer purchase orders and manage supplier interactions. You will prepare bidder lists, qualify bidders, form bid packages, issue bid requests, and participate in negotiations to meet project needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Engineering for material requisitions, preparing bid summaries, and ensuring supplier performance aligns with PO requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement practices, commercial terms, and supplier management processes for indirect goods/services.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies, obtain competitive quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement support; strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bidders’ lists and qualifies bidders.
• Communicates with Engineering to assist in preparing material requisitions for procurement of materials/equipment.
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests, coordinates bidders’ questions, and receives bids.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award.
• Communicates with suppliers and Bechtel personnel to define requirements and ensure PO performance.
• Identifies, defines, and secures agreement on PO changes.
• Initiates and processes PO revisions affecting scope, cost and schedule.
