Job summary

Bechtel is overseeing a major semiconductor plant project in New Albany, Ohio. The Procurement Planner will develop and maintain integrated procurement, engineering-to-procurement, materials management, and logistics schedules to support engineering, fabrication, and construction execution.

The role interfaces with Procurement, Engineering, Contracts, Materials Management, Construction, and Client teams to ensure alignment with milestone dates and delivery needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling and CPM scheduling knowledge.
• Strong procurement process understanding and DSCS/Map tools.
• Materials management, expediting, logistics, and freight forwarding expertise.
• Power BI dashboard development and earned value management concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procurement, engineering-to-procurement, and materials delivery schedules using Primavera P6.
• Integrate requisition, purchase order, fabrication, inspection, delivery, and site-receipt activities into the project schedule.
• Develop commodity- and equipment-based procurement plans and delivery sequences.
• Establish logic ties between engineering releases, requisitions, PO awards, fabrication, and delivery.
• Support Level 3/4 schedules for procurement and materials management.
• Perform CPM analysis.
• Evaluate float consumption and schedule trends.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities.
• Support Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and schedule claims evaluations.
• Prepare and distribute reports: weekly procurement progress, material status dashboards, milestone reports, critical path analyses, look-ahead schedules, executive summaries, recovery plans.
