Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Indianapolis invites ambitious engineering students to join a co-op program. You will support maintenance and operations with process studies, troubleshooting and data analysis, learning the corn wet milling process and related systems.

You’ll work 40 hours weekly during January–August 2026, contribute to capital projects up to $50k over 1–2 years, and participate in training while maintaining up-to-date documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week January–August 2026.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams with process studies and troubleshooting.
• Assist in capital permits, projects and engineering studies to meet plant goals.
• Manage projects up to $50k, 1–2 years in duration, following safety and ethics standards.
• Conduct process training and ensure documentation is up to date after projects finish.
• Support plant safety initiatives in process design to minimize injuries.
• Monitor and evaluate new technologies to improve process efficiency.
