Job summary

Ingredion is offering a co-op opportunity in Indianapolis, requiring 40 hours per week from January through August 2026. You will support maintenance and operations with process studies, troubleshooting, and data analysis while learning corn wet milling processes.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks with diligence and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Currently enrolled as a student for the term January–August 2026
• Able to learn corn wet milling processes and related systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Proficient with PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Reliable transportation to the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations: process studies, troubleshooting, optimization, and data management
• Support capital permits, projects, and engineering studies aligned to plant goals
• Manage projects up to $50k with adherence to ethics, safety, and standards
• Conduct process training and ensure documentation is up to date
• Assist plant safety professionals on safety initiatives in process design
• Stay current with new technologies and propose improvements to enhance efficiency
