Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a motivated student for a Co-op in the Process Engineering group. You will partner with senior engineers to monitor process conditions, provide support, and implement improvements in a hands-on setting.

You will learn corn wet milling processes, tackle optimization opportunities, and build technical reporting and teamwork skills in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Available to work 40 hours per week Jan-Aug 2026.
• Willing to learn corn wet milling processes and related systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Reliable transportation to facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations groups.
• Work on capital permits, projects and engineering studies.
• Manage projects up to $50k over 1-2 years.
• Conduct process training and document projects.
• Support plant safety initiatives in process design.
• Keep current in discipline and assess new technologies.
