Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Automation Engineer to support safety and optimize manufacturing operations across our AFNA facility. You will deploy vision systems, assist with robot and PLC integrations, and drive process improvements to reduce waste and improve quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in vision systems installation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3–5 years of experience.
3–5 years of vision system installation and application.
2–3 years working with pneumatics, conveyors, sensors, robots, HMIs and PLCs.
Preference for experience with Allen Bradley or Beckhoff PLCs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to maintain safety and optimize manufacturing operations.
Lead and support vision system development and validation efforts.
Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and implement corrective actions.
Train operators on new equipment, installations and procedures.
Develop and document technical resources, including manuals and guides.
