Job summary

Amcor is seeking a manufacturing engineer to provide technical support and drive safety and efficiency in our Wisconsin facility. The role focuses on reducing conversion costs while upholding high quality standards and a safe working environment.

You will train operators, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with plant teams to implement World Class Operations practices, process improvements, and waste reduction across packaging operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial) with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Participation in professional development (communication, problem solving, SPC, quality systems).
  • Knowledge of world class manufacturing principles and experience applying them in packaging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains safety as a top priority while developing and implementing process improvements for quality, waste and productivity.
  • Supports World Class Operations Management as an active team member.
  • Investigates causes of process and quality issues and develops corrective actions.
  • Trains machine operators on new equipment installations and procedures.
  • Maintains standard operating conditions to ensure consistent equipment performance.
  • Collaborates with plant resources to ensure technical support is available to production.
  • Troubleshoots problems with supervisors and maintenance to prevent recurrence.
  • Participates in project evaluation and scheduling to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Works with project engineering to implement equipment modifications to boost productivity.
  • Documents procedures to safely increase productivity and reduce waste while preserving quality.
  • May supervise engineering co-op students, including training and evaluations.
