Job summary

Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd. is seeking a Process Engineer in Bolingbrook, IL to drive hands-on process improvements across manufacturing and service workflows, supporting KPIs for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation.

You will lead Lean engineering initiatives including 5S, SMED, Kanban and line balancing, collaborate with suppliers to optimize materials and equipment, and apply data-driven problem solving to advance end-to-end production performance on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering.
• Practitioner of Six Sigma concepts (or Six Sigma certifications).
• Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Proficient in data-driven problem solving and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Drive advancement of manufacturing processes and material replenishment systems to meet client pull demands.
• Lead Lean Engineering events and cross-functional process improvements across the value chain.
• Oversee design projects and ensure safe, efficient production processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Configure layouts and workflows to boost productivity, quality and profitability.
