Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for its Houston, TX site to provide technical support for small molecule API manufacturing. The role focuses on process optimization, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement during scale-up to GMP operations.

The candidate will collaborate across cross-functional teams, contribute to process safety, and drive data-driven improvements on the shop floor across shifts. This is a dynamic startup-phase role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GMP manufacturing unit operations.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline process engineer for small molecule API supply or support frontline engineers.
• Capture and maintain process knowledge artifacts and understand equipment impact on parameters.
• Support equipment and process system qualification including design reviews and verification tests.
• Ensure application of engineering standards in partnership with the Tech Center.
• Provide process safety management support and hazard reviews.
• Apply data-driven analysis to monitor performance, downtime, and throughput.
• Support technology transfer and continuous improvement within a cross‑functional team.
