Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis is seeking a Process Engineer to support drug substance API manufacturing, focusing on developing and sustaining process knowledge, equipment support, and process optimization.

You will perform risk assessments, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and engage with multiple groups including QA, Operations, and Automation to drive quality and efficiency in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemical engineering with 2+ years in pharma, biotech or CMO API process engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship is offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact and risk assessments for unit operations
• Learn lab and plant reactor design, and automation recipes
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with company policies
• Maintain CGMP-compliant processing equipment and quality systems
• Model and test heat/mass transfer for scale-up to plant
• Engage with HSE, QA, Tech Services, Development, Operations and Maintenance
• Author/review/approve technical reports and regulatory submissions
• Develop or review project plans and timetables
