Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the building's structural integrity and address maintenance issues promptly and safely. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems, equipment, and appliances while delivering excellent service.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience in senior living or similar settings, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong time management skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Professional maintenance-related certifications are a plus, but not required.
• At least two years of maintenance/handyman experience in senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting is required.
• A well-rounded general maintenance skillset including HVAC, drywall, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and floor care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, and basic repairs.
• Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly following safety standards.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Repair vacated rooms promptly and prepare for new resident move-in.
• Maintain walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
• Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inspections.
• Coordinate with local authorities such as fire marshal and inspectors, working within codes.
