Grass Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a PRN Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our close-knit team in Grass Valley, CA. The role focuses on delivering front-desk support, coordinating client care, and handling daily administrative tasks in a high-quality veterinary practice.

The position emphasizes excellent customer service, efficient lobby management, and accurate data entry in our practice management system, with shifts aligned to our hospital schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service experience, including handling difficult customers.
• Experience managing multiple phone lines while assisting clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent in-person and phone customer service, including during high-stress situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.
• Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
