Job summary

AdventHealth Oviedo Imaging is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders. You will verify patient identity, position patients, and optimize imaging while maintaining strict infection control and patient privacy.

The role requires strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, vascular Doppler techniques, and effective communication with patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy
• Ability to perform independent ultrasound procedures
• Proficient in documenting in EMR and PACS
• Experience with radiology software and PACS applications
• Excellent patient communication across ages

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders
• Verify patient identity, exam appropriateness and history
• Position patients and adjust transducers for optimal images
• Document findings accurately in EMR and PACS
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists for accurate diagnosis
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment and manage supplies
