Job summary

AdventHealth Lake Mary and Sanford EDs are seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic exams per orders and protocols. You will verify patient identity, prepare equipment, document findings in EMR/PACS, and educate patients to ensure comfort and safety.

Must have knowledge of ultrasound physics, Doppler techniques, and vascular imaging, with proficiency in radiology software and teamwork with radiologists to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Ability to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Proficiency with PACS and radiology software for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness.
• Document findings accurately in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Collaborate with radiologists for accurate interpretation.
