Vibra Healthcare, LLC. in Benton, KY, is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist for our Long Term Acute Care facility to support adult and geriatric patients.

Under supervision, you will set up and operate respiratory equipment, administer prescribed therapies, monitor ventilators, and document patient responses. The role requires state licensure as a Respiratory Practitioner, BLS on hire, and ACLS within 90 days, with ongoing certification maintenance.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner in the state of employment.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Maintain licenses and certifications for the duration of employment.

Responsabilités

• Provides care for adult or geriatric patients (ages 18+).
• Set up and operate respiratory equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Explain procedures to patients and document education in charts.
• Perform physician-prescribed treatments (nebulizers, oxygen, humidity, etc.).
• Set up and monitor ventilators; participate in weaning per physician direction.
• Maintain ventilation during CPR; intubation as necessary.
• Record treatments and responses; update MARs and charts.
• Perform trach care and document changes per policy.
• Manage tubing, suction devices, and cleanliness per policy.
• Provide reports of treatments and changes to relief personnel; inform primary nurse.
• Process respiratory equipment; ensure Cidex OPA functionality.
• Perform pre-use checks on ventilators; document in logs.
• Make rounds to check ventilator and oxygen equipment; refill humidifiers.
• Use respiratory care data for diagnostic studies; perform blood gas analysis.
• Assist in preparing patients for therapy, transport, and PT; store oxygen per OSHA guidance.
• Attend monthly Respiratory Care departmental meetings.
