Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC. seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a Long Term Acute Care facility.

Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager and/or Lead Respiratory Therapist, you set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and illness, and you document patient education and responses in the chart. You will perform physician-prescribed treatments, manage ventilators, participate in weaning, provide trach care, and maintain equipment per

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed by The National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RRT.
• BLS at hire and ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• High School graduate or equivalent; documentation of training for testing performed.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for Adult or Geriatric patients (18+).
• Explain purpose of treatments and document education given.
• Perform physician-prescribed treatments (Nebulizer, oxygen devices, humidity, etc.).
• Set up and monitor ventilators; participate in weaning per protocols.
• Record treatments and patient responses; maintain respiratory care records.
• Perform trach care and suctioning per policy; document changes.
• Maintain ventilation during CPR and assist as needed.
• Attend monthly Respiratory Care meetings and department activities.

Education

NBRC CRT or RRT credential

High School Graduate or equivalent
