Elior North America is hiring a PRN Registered Dietitian for Cortland Manor, NY, onsite. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving patient quality of life within the healthcare team.
The position is part-time, typically 8-16 hours per month, with potential for additional weekday/weekend coverage. Requires active RD status and appropriate licensure, with competitive hourly pay.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (before 2024) or related field.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Passed the national exam by the CDR or meets its eligibility requirements.
- Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
- Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
- Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
- Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
- Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement programs.
