Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to support our healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, identifying interventions, and promoting quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Scheduling is 8–16 hours per month, with additional coverage possible. You'll collaborate with the care team, follow nutrition standards and regulatory requirements, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, via portfolio development.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
