Job summary
Elior North America is hiring a PRN Registered Dietitian for the Cortland Manor, NY area. This part-time, onsite role focuses on assessing the nutritional needs of patients/residents and implementing interventions to support nutrition status and quality of life.
The RD will work up to 16 hours per month with potential additional coverage; must have a RD credential, relevant education, and licensure, and be able to educate staff and residents in nutrition best practices.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
- Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR guidance.
- Licensed or certified as required by state.
- Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
- Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures for dining and nutrition.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and ongoing evaluation.
