Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Cortland Manor, NY. The role focuses on identifying nutritional needs, implementing interventions, and enhancing quality of life for patients/residents.

Schedule typically ranges 8-16 hours per month with potential for additional coverage. Responsibilities include educating the healthcare team, adhering to standards, collaborating across departments, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (before 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by CDR or eligible per AND.
• Completes 75 hours CE every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified as required by state law.
• Knowledge of regulations for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and revising continuous quality improvement programs.
