Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for our healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. This onsite, part-time role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, guiding interventions, and enhancing residents’ quality of life in collaboration with the care team.

The position typically offers flexible hours (8–16 per month) with potential for additional coverage and a strong emphasis on patient-centered nutrition, education, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed the CDR national examination or meets Academy requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
