Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life for patients/residents. Schedule typically 8–16 hours per week.

Requirements include nutrition degree(s), licensure, and ongoing CE hours; the position emphasizes education and collaboration across departments within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (prior to 2024)
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field
• Licensed or certified per state requirements
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights
• Ability to teach others pertaining to nutrition and dietetics
• Passed national exam or eligible per CDR/A.N.D.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility requirements
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition
• Participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs
