Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing quality of life aligned with patient goals.

The position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week as needed, offering flexible hours in a hospital setting and opportunities to contribute to nutrition care plans and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passes a national examination by the CDR or meets eligibility requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years as per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and improvement of quality programs.
