Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking RN professionals for PRN float positions across multiple surgery centers in the Phoenix valley. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and documenting nursing care for patients across various centers.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS; PALS may be required for pediatrics. OR experience and PeriOp101 program engagement are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in OR or related perioperative areas.
• New RN enrolled in PeriOp101 program with completion within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, with patient/family and health team input.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates the patient's and family’s response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record with clear, timely notes.
• Provides care based on best evidence and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.
• Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes and supports growth of others through mentoring when appropriate.
• In some locations, may provide relief charge for staff and workflow in the department.
• Performs all functions according to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
