Job summary

Colonial Group in Phoenix is seeking a travel nurse for our Atlas Float Pool, delivering high-quality care across diverse units. This full-benefits role requires adaptability and strong clinical skills.

You will assess and plan care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure documentation and patient education meet policy standards. The position offers travel opportunities within the region, competitive compensation, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED).
• Licensed RN with no PreOp/PACU experience and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• PRN: Minimum two years licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and post-operative planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patient, family and health team.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress toward goals and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record adhering to policy.
• Participates in evidence-based practice and facility leadership, mentoring others as appropriate.
• Contributes to improving national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.
