Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Float RN to provide nursing support across Pre Op, OR, and PACU as needed to maintain patient flow, safety, and efficient daily operations.

The role requires assessing and planning patient care, administering medications, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia, documenting intraoperative care, and ensuring infection control standards are met in a busy surgery center environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop and implement total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Record and report symptoms, reactions, abnormalities and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Care and discharge pre-operative patients according to policy.
• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures and ensure equipment is ready.
• Circulate cases and maintain a sterile, safe environment.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia, and team during procedures.
• Document intraoperative care in the medical record.
• Monitor patient safety throughout the procedure and respond to changes in condition.
