Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, acquire high quality images, and assist licensed practitioners. You will handle patient interactions, contrast administration, and documentation in the EMR, with flexibility to cover shifts across facilities.

Qualifications include ARRT/ARMRIT certification, state license, CPR/BLS, and experience with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems. Travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required where applicable.
• State license required for the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening and proper zone access.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per protocols and standards.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and staff; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate contrast safety and IV administration where indicated; operate image systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants; cover shifts as needed.
