Job summary

Helms Home Care in Annapolis, MD is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide home infusion therapy. The RN will perform catheter access and care, monitor vitals, administer medications, and draw blood during patient visits. Candidates should have an active RN license and infusion experience.

This PRN role involves ~2 patient visits per week with mileage reimbursement and access to company resources. You will utilize scheduling software to log visits and maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must communicate promptly with scheduling personnel

• Licensed driver with automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration, blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting in a timely manner

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
