Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking PRN Infusion RN to perform in-home infusion therapy in Covington, KY. Eligible RNs will provide catheter access and IV care, monitor vitals, administer medications, and educate patients on self-care during home visits.

The role requires a current RN license and at least 1 year of infusion therapy experience, with reliable transportation and prompt communication with scheduling. Two visits per week are expected.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license, in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care.
• Reliable transportation and access to basic office equipment.
• Effective communication with scheduling personnel in a timely manner.
• Expect to perform 2 visits per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines) and assess vitals.
• Administer medications including Abx, TPN, IVIG and other specialty meds.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medications; document visit notes promptly.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per weekn>
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
