Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a PRN PBX Switchboard Operator to join our hospital communications team. You will receive and direct calls, route them to the appropriate departments, and support staff, patients and visitors with professional service and timely information.

The position operates on a PRN as-needed basis, with a primary schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. Prior PBX, call center, or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• PBX or switchboard experience preferred.
• Customer service and call center experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Receive and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate party in a timely, professional manner.
• Coordinate with hospital units and staff during visitation times and provide excellent customer service.
• Enter information into EMTALA logs and coordinate with RESPOND on assessments as needed.
• Assist patients, families and staff with needs during phone calls and in-person visits.
• Coordinate with business office for meal tickets, safekeeping entries, mail distribution and vehicle sign-ins/outs.
