Medical Center SE Texas Port Arthur in Port Arthur, TX seeks a PBX Operator to manage the hospital's telephone switchboard and relay calls with accuracy and courtesy.

You will perform miscellaneous communications and clerical tasks, monitor alarms, apply call codes per policy, and page physicians and staff as needed to support seamless patient care.

Prior hospital or PBX/cashier experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Under the direct supervision of the PBX Supervisor, the PBX Operator is responsible for operating the telephone switchboard to relay incoming and outgoing calls and for performing miscellaneous hospital communications and clerical duties. Responsible for alarm monitoring; call codes according to policy; page various physicians and hospital personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. One to two years hospital experience or comparable PBX/Cashier experience preferred.
