Responsibilities

• Operate telephone switchboards and connect calls.
• Determine nature of inquiries and provide information.
• Communicate pertinent information to foster a safe hospital environment.
• Provide external connections for staff and answer internal queries on the switchboard.
• Routinely connect to police, ambulance, or fire departments during emergencies.
