Job summary

Caelon is seeking a driven Business Development Representative to grow its customer base in private-market investment teams. You will research target firms, engage investment professionals, generate sales-qualified opportunities, and help convert prospects into paid pilots.

You will design revenue-generating experiments with Caelon’s founders, test messaging and channels, and build the early sales process. This is an in-person role at our Fairfax, VA office.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Creative thinker who is willing to learn, experiment, and adapt.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in ways that match customers’ needs.
• Interest in finance and private-market investing.
• Comfortable taking ownership of experiments from initial ideas through execution and analysis.
• Experience leading a team of any size or in any capacity, with the ability to reflect on lessons learned from both mistakes and successes.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Research and engage high-potential investment firms, investment teams, and senior decision-makers.
• Generate qualified opportunities through creative, multichannel outreach.
• Personalize messaging, qualify prospects, and help convert them into paid pilots.
• Work alongside Caelon’s founders to design and execute revenue-generating experiments.
• Run sales experiments from end to end, track results, and refine targeting and messaging.
• Learn Caelon’s platform and clearly communicate its business and technical value.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and help build a repeatable sales process.
