Job summary

Turo Inc. is seeking a practical privacy ops manager to support its growing business across Phoenix, SF, or Toronto. You will lead privacy operations, triage data subject rights, and work with global legal teams to minimize risk.

The role focuses on PIAs, data mapping, policy governance, training, and vendor security, with 3+ years in privacy and a base salary of $100,000-$125,000 in Phoenix. Equity and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, or related fields (internships acceptable).
• Foundational understanding of data protection principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, AU Privacy Act).
• Ability to clearly communicate privacy requirements in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage DSR intake, response, and tracking across GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA, and applicable laws.
• Conduct, coordinate, and complete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new product features and data processing activities.
• Support privacy reviews of new products, features, and market expansions; advise on risk mitigation while growing the business.
• Track and analyze evolving privacy, data security, and consumer legislation and recommend necessary changes to practices.
• Own, develop, and maintain records of processing activities documentation.
