Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Privacy Consultant to advance privacy by design across the business. You will facilitate PIAs and DPIAs, translate global requirements into practical guidance, and partner with Technology, Legal, and Business units.

The role is hybrid with three in-office days per week at hub locations. Salary ranges from $120K to $140K annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Relocation is not provided; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of privacy, data security and/or relevant experience.
• Deep practical understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage work independently in evolving environments.
• Collaborative working style across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Transamerica's privacy by design playbook with guidance materials.
• Facilitate and review PIAs and DPIAs across activities; produce actionable findings.
• Manage assigned workstreams within privacy initiatives; track tasks and deliverables.
• Translate privacy requirements into practical operational outcomes for teams.
• Identify, assess and communicate privacy risks and remediation recommendations.
• Prepare clear risk summaries and governance updates for stakeholders.
• Support broader privacy operations including notices, RoPAs, and training enhancements.
• Engage Technology, Product, Legal, Security and business units to drive timely execution.
