Job summary

Trulioo, headquartered in Vancouver with North American hubs, seeks a Senior Director, Global Privacy & Data Protection to drive the company’s privacy strategy and compliance posture across products and regions.

Reporting to the Chief Risk and Strategy Officer, this senior privacy executive collaborates with Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Sales to embed privacy by design, guide AI governance, and ensure responsible data use while scaling operations globally.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or related leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and US/Canadian privacy laws.
• Proven ability to lead privacy programs in global, high-growth SaaS environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead global privacy and data protection strategy and DPO responsibilities.
• Mature and operate privacy program including DPIAs, PIAs, data retention, and incident response.
• Advise product, engineering, sales, and executive leadership on privacy by design and risk trade-offs.
• Represent the company in regulatory engagements and external privacy discussions.
• Develop metrics and governance processes to communicate privacy maturity to executives.
