Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers and advance the company’s privacy program. You will oversee consent management, cookie governance, and privacy library maintenance while driving compliance across the enterprise.

Collaboration with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product is essential to embed privacy-by-design throughout product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 8+ years of experience in privacy or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance operations.
• Technical understanding of web tracking technologies including tag management systems, cookie and pixel operations, and consent signal architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across CMP operations, cookie categorization, and privacy library maintenance.
• Serve as the technical SME for privacy engineering, providing architecture guidance and solution feedback.
• Oversee maintenance and evolution of Cox Automotive's privacy tech stack, including CMPs, tag managers, cookie scanning, and data inventory tooling.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing technologies into enterprise systems.
• Execute and monitor privacy compliance activities across Cox Automotive and federated teams.
• Onboard brands and acquisitions into the centralized privacy program and infrastructure.
