Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is seeking a Prior Authorization Submitter to join our team in Utah. The role collaborates with insurance companies to request medical necessity reviews and prior authorizations for durable medical equipment, documenting each step in our electronic system.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical office experience, familiarity with diagnosis codes and payor requirements, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• One year experience in a medical office with familiarity with diagnosis codes, prior authorizations, and insurance companies.
• One year experience submitting prior authorizations for medical services.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review funded cases and verify information for submission.
• Create prior authorization packets per payor requirements.
• Submit prior authorization requests per payer requirements.
• Save packets to electronic records.
• Document steps to move cases toward authorization.
• Follow up on payor requests.
• Identify and report payor trends.
• Assist with other intake functions to meet team goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
