Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is seeking a Prior Authorization Submitter to work with insurance payors to obtain medical necessity approvals for durable medical equipment. You will create submission packets and submit via online portals, faxes, and mail, documenting all steps in our EMR system and following up for payer decisions.

The role requires familiarity with diagnosis codes, prior authorizations, and insurance companies, plus strong MS Office skills and PDF handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience in a medical office and familiarity with diagnosis codes, prior authorizations, and insurance companies is preferred.
• Experience submitting for prior authorization for medical services is required.

Responsibilities

• Review funded cases and verify required information for submission.
• Create prior authorization packets according to payor requirements.
• Submit prior authorization requests and save packets to the electronic record.
• Document all steps taken and follow up with payors.
• Travel to the Pittsburgh office for team activities/trainings (approx. 4 times per year).
