Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is hiring a Prior Authorization Submitter (PAS) to work within our medical administration team. This role involves creating and submitting prior authorization packets, following up with payors, and ensuring accurate documentation in our electronic records.

Candidates should have medical office experience and knowledge of insurance processes. The PAS will primarily work in the Pacific or Mountain time zones and may travel to the Pittsburgh office a few times per year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year experience in a medical office with knowledge of diagnosis codes, prior authorizations, and insurance companies.
• One year experience submitting prior authorizations for medical services.

Responsibilities

• Review funded cases and verify required information is present for submission.
• Create prior authorization packets per payor requirements.
• Submit prior authorization requests via payer portals, fax, or mail.
• Save submission packets to the electronic record system.
• Document all steps to move cases forward in authorization process.
• Follow up on payor submissions for decisions.
• Perform other intake-related tasks as needed.
• Identify and report payer trends.
• Travel to the Pittsburgh office for team activities about four times per year.
