Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year experience in a medical office with familiarity with diagnosis codes, prior authorizations, and insurance companies.
• 1 year experience submitting prior authorization for medical services.

Responsibilities

• Review funded cases and verify required information to submit is present and correct.
• Create prior authorization packets according to payor requirements.
• Submit prior authorization requests according to payer requirements.
• Save submission packet to electronic record.
• Document all steps taken to move case forward with authorization.
• Follow up on requests submitted to payors.
• Identify and report payor trends.
