Job summary

Waters Corporation seeks a Principal Informatics Sales Development Specialist to act as North American software expert for waters_connect in LC and LC-MS workflows. In this customer-facing presales role, you will demonstrate software, provide technical consultations, and partner with Territory Account Managers and Product Management across the United States and Canada.

The role focuses on presales activities with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or related discipline.
8+ years in laboratory software, analytical instrumentation, or related fields.
Experience with waters_connect; UNIFI experience preferred.
Customer-facing experience in presales or solution consulting roles.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Willingness to travel 50–75% across US and Canada.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary SME for the waters_connect platform across the US and Canada.
Support opportunities from evaluation through close.
Guide discussions on capabilities, deployment, licensing, upgrades, and expansion.
Translate software value to scientific, operational and business benefits.
Act as liaison between Product Management and field teams.
Collaborate with Sales, ISS, Marketing, and Professional Services.
