Job summary
Waters Corporation is seeking a Principal Informatics Sales Development Specialist to act as the North American software expert for waters_connect in LC and LC-MS workflows. This customer-facing presales role partners with Territory Account Managers, Mass Spectrometry Specialists, and Product Management to support opportunities from evaluation through close.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in laboratory software or related tech, with hands-on waters_connect experience and strong presentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or related discipline.
- 8+ years in lab software, analytical instrumentation, or related tech.
- Experience with waters_connect; UNIFI preferred.
- Customer-facing presales or solution consulting experience.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to travel 50-75% across US and Canada.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary subject matter expert for waters_connect in LC/LC-MS workflows.
- Support opportunities from evaluation through closure with commercial teams.
- Lead discovery discussions to understand workflow and technical needs.
- Advise on capabilities, deployment, licensing, upgrades, and data integrity.
- Address compliance, validation, data management, and admin considerations.
- Assist teams in positioning waters_connect and addressing competitors.
