RTX is seeking an experienced Principal Thermal Engineer to join the MA&T Department. The role focuses on detailed thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design studies to production support, using finite element tools and hand methods.

You will plan tests, reduce data, and present findings to customers and government stakeholders. You will lead a team of thermal analysts, develop processes, and ensure work aligns with cost and schedule constraints, while contributing to advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience; MS/PhD can substitute years.
• Experience in thermal analysis using recognized tools (FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, or ANSYS).
• Ability to lead a team of thermal analysts and obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Perform hand calculations to scope higher-detail analysis models.
• Conduct detailed thermal analyses to meet program challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and ensure hardware compliance.
• Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
• Lead and mentor analysts on medium-complexity problems within cost/schedule constraints.
• Review work with peers for technical accuracy and present results to customers.
